Why
select Great Chalets to host your next visit to this beautiful area?
Great Chalets was started with one
question "Why can't a family get a great deal on a great chalet, and
when they arrive have no surprises in what they were getting?"
Those two
items were the driving force in starting "Great Chalets". Great
Chalets is a professional rental company without allot of overhead, because of this we can pass the savings onto our customers. This is
why we do not charge a "per person" rate or any extra unnecessary
charges to your stay. Our chalets are personally selected and
we specifically look for great views or great features that will set the
properties above the others on the mountain. With our streamlined operations, we don't need to represent every chalet that approaches
Great Chalets to join our program. This is what makes our selection for your stay one
of the best available. Our
chalets are cleaned very thoroughly, after all we do pay our cleaners more
than any company on the mountain! We also have our fireplaces inspected every year for safety
reasons and our chalets are exterminated every single month, even in the
winter. All in all it adds up to a great affordable vacation for a
family in a memorable, clean and comfortable chalet with NO
SURPRISES! We do hope to host your visit to Gatlinburg and will work
to earn your business year after year!

not just get a hotel/motel room versus a chalet?
Almost
all of our chalets have hot tubs, pool tables, fireplaces, grills, and fully
equipped kitchens. The peacefulness
and individual privacy cannot be beat with a chalet and it will surely
create wonderful memories of your stay here! Hotel and motel
rooms in downtown Gatlinburg will cost anywhere up to $179.00 per night
and all you have is beds, bathroom and a TV. You will never regret
staying in a chalet with us and will probably
never go back to hotels and motels after discovering all the extras you
get for so little difference in price!

What
is provided when I rent a chalet and what is not?
We provide all of the bed, bath
and kitchen linens. We also will supply you with a starter amount of
dish soap, dish washer soap, laundry detergent, body soap, paper towels and toilet
paper.
For many guests, these starter amounts last them during their stay,
however, if you should run out we have grocery stores both in Gatlinburg and
Pigeon Forge where you can pick up some extra supplies. If
you would like fresh linens while you are here, each chalet has a washer
and dryer. Also,
all of our chalets have charcoal grills so if you would like to grill out,
don't forget your charcoal. Each
chalet also has a private phone line (mostly tone dialing), cable/satellite TV and
most chalets have a stereo system of some type and usually a VCR.

Do
I have to clean the chalet before I leave?
You do not have to clean the chalet when you leave. We do, however, ask that you place the
garbage in the appropriate "bear proof" trash containers that are provided for
you outside of the chalet.

Tell
me more about the Owners Clubs:
There are three wonderful owners clubs on
the mountain in Chalet Village. As a guest of Great Chalets you will
have full access rights to these owners clubs. The pass, information
and directions to the owners clubs are placed in the chalet from mid May
to late September which is the operating months of the owners clubs.
Each facility has different offerings, however, all facilities have a
swimming pool. For more information on these clubs, please give us a
call.

What
is your pet policy?
Pets are only allowed at pet friendly
chalets. Chalets that have a no pet policy will not allow pets of any
kind. If you decide to go against the no pet policy and
bring a pet with you, you will
automatically be charged $200.00 for the additional cleaning and
disinfecting costs.

What
does "Flat Rate" mean?
It means we do not have any
processing fees, hot tub fees or per person fees. The only additions
to the nightly rate listed are sales tax and a cleaning fee.

Is
there a minimum number of nights that is required?
Yes. Our normal minimum number of
nights required on a reservation is two, however, during the June, July, October
and holidays, our minimum number of nights required
is three.

How
do I go about renting a chalet and what is required to do so?
To reserve one of our beautiful
chalets you can 1) reserve the chalet on-line or 2) you can call us at
800-599-6444. We do require a two night deposit at the time of your
reservation and we accept Visa and Master Card. You can also send us
a personal check or money order and it must be received within seven days
of making the reservation or the reservation will be cancelled.
We require to rent a one and two bedroom chalet that you be 21 years
of age or older. For our three bedroom and up units, we require the
renter to be 25 years of age or older. In addition, all reservations
must be "Paid in Full" two weeks before your arrival date as we
do not have an office that you check in and out of and use a security code
system for chalet entry.
